Data Deletion
Last updated: September 14, 2026
What this page covers
Blue Pointe IT runs social media management workspaces for business clients. When you connect a Facebook Page, Instagram account, Threads profile, YouTube channel, or TikTok account to one of those workspaces, it appears as the app Blue Post Social. This page explains how to remove that connection and how to have us delete the data we hold because of it. For everything else we collect, see our Privacy Policy.
What we hold
- Your name, profile picture, and the app-scoped ID the platform gives us.
- The names and IDs of the Pages or accounts you authorized, and access tokens for them.
- Posts, images, and video uploaded to the workspace and scheduled for those accounts.
- Engagement numbers (likes, comments, reach) for posts we published.
We never receive or store your social media password.
Step 1: Remove the app
This stops all access straight away. Menu names vary a little between app versions.
| Platform | Where to remove Blue Post Social |
|---|---|
| Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations (or Apps and websites) → select Blue Post Social → Remove. | |
| Connected through Facebook: remove it on Facebook as above. Otherwise Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites → Remove. | |
| Threads | Settings → Account → Website permissions → Active → Blue Post Social → Remove. |
| YouTube (Google) | Google Account → Security → Your connections to third-party apps & services (myaccount.google.com/connections) → Blue Post Social → Delete all connections. |
| TikTok | Settings and privacy → Security & permissions → Apps and services permissions → Blue Post Social → Remove access. |
When you remove the app, the platform may also offer to send us a deletion request. If you accept, you'll get a confirmation code and a link back to this page. You don't need to contact us separately.
Step 2: Ask us to delete your data
If the platform didn't send the request for you, email support@bluepointeit.com with the subject "Data deletion request" and include:
- The platform (Facebook, Instagram, Threads, YouTube, or TikTok).
- Your name or username on that platform.
- The Pages or accounts you connected, and the business whose workspace you connected them to, if you know it.
We may reply to confirm the request came from you before deleting anything.
What happens next
- We confirm receipt within 5 business days.
- We delete the data listed under "What we hold" from every workspace within 30 days. Revoked access tokens are removed within 7 days.
- If the account belongs to one of our clients' businesses, we let that client know the connection has been removed.
Posts already published to Facebook, Instagram, Threads, YouTube, or TikTok live on those platforms. Deleting data from our workspaces doesn't remove them; delete them on the platform itself. We may keep a minimal record of the request (the date, platform, and confirmation code) to show that it was completed, and anything the law requires us to keep.
